Thou Shalt Love

We shall love you O God. Dr. Howard Thurman in his book, Meditations of the Heart wrote,… “There must be for me a deep sense of relatedness to God.”  This connection in our soul and spirit should open us up to, as he puts it “more and more springs of energy and power, which will enable me to thread life’s mysteries with life’s clue,” and by doing so you and I give ourselves totally to love in God.  Then loving myself, my neighbor as myself, and loving God creates energy and power.  You become tender without being soft; gracious without being ingratiating; kind without being sentimental, and understanding without being judgmental.  Loving becomes an integral part of you and what you are. You hold onto life with the strings or bands of love that do not contributes to hate or being unloving. You study how to be a reflection of God’s love.

Psalm 48:9 reads “Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.”

With meditating on Love-Divine, you shall love God, yourself and your neighbor. Amazing, isn’t it?
